Baked Eggs at Strangers’ Reunion

Baked Eggs or some variant of Shakshuka have been popping up on Brunch menus a lot these days. I’m not complaining as I love Shakshuka!

Strangers' Reunion's Baked Eggs in Shakshuka with Homemade Goat's Cheese, Dukkah & Toast. I added Salami to this.

I recently tried the Baked Eggs in Shakshuka at Strangers’ Reunion. Unfortunately, I probably got the kitchen on a bad morning as the eggs and salami were overdone. Nonetheless, I loved the earthy flavour of the warm spices used in the Dukkah (an Egyptian Spice Mix), the creamy goat’s cheese and the crusty toast that accompanied the combination. J tried some of my Baked Eggs but wasn’t too hot on the Dukkah, I guess it’s an acquired taste.

Strangers' Reunion - Buttermilk Waffles
Buttermilk Waffles with Artisan Greek Yoghurt & Fresh Fruits

J preferred the Buttermilk Waffles that I’d recommended. I have yet to find a place that serves better waffles than the ones at Strangers Reunion. The waffles are consistently good everytime I visit, a rarity as consistency is so hard to come by at many food establishments in Singapore these days. If you have to pick just one item, the Waffles are a Must-Try!

As I haven’t visited Nylon Coffee for a while, I skipped coffee at Strangers’ Reunion so I could get my fix down the road.
